The sales person that I contacted replied asking me for my shipping address so that she can send me payment instructions. When I replied asking her for more information about her organization she gave me the email of a recent customer who I emailed. He said that he ordered 5 kits from them and that he just decided to take a risk sending Money Gram to the organization, which is basically cash. He said that after his first shipment arrived quickly and as promised he ordered more kits. He agreed to answer emails because they offered him a 5% discount in exchange.

Personally I don't think this is worth the risk. Sending cash and hoping that they send back the camera? No thanks. I'll just try to find my D200 somewhere else.

If anyone has more info please share.

If I am reading your question/comment correctly, all of your contact with this organization has been online. Do you not have a way of contacting them in any other way? If not, that would be my first red flag.

Second, if they can not or will not respond with further info, I would not trust them. Any valid organization will provide information requested including its credentials.

Further, if you are contacting an e-mail address, how do you know it isn't the exact same someone that you were contacting about the product in the first place?

There are way too many scams around. I would look elsewhere with trusted companies that guarantee the products they sell.

Stick to trusted addresses, like b&h, ritz camera, wolf camera, and beach camera.
The D200 is great, by the way. I ordered mine in april.
