I have had 2 bladder infections back to back, that have included blood in my urine. Both have been treated by antibiotics from the doctor (including culture to be sure they are the right antibiotics for the bacteria) and have appeared to have gone away. But they come back within a few days after the end of the antibiotics. Is it a normal symptom to have blood in the urine w/ bladder infections? What else could it be an indication of? The bleeding stops while I am taking the antibiotics.

If you are getting repeat bladder infections it is probably time to go to a urologist to make sure that everything is all right. My observation has been that men with bladder infections seem to be prone to have blood in the urine more so than women with a bladder infection - but I do not know why - cause I am not a urologist. I do know that people with repeat infections are more at risk for pyelonephritis - kidney infections and kidney failure. You really don't want to hurt those kidneys! I would suggest drinking lots of cranberry juice and making the appointment with the urologist real soon tho.

I used to get generic, painful, bloody-urine, bladder infections and the only treatment gave the look to be antibiotics, which then led to a yeast an infection. Hated it. So I did some examining in my organic healing medical e book and located a answer that has helped me for 10+ years with out from now on antibiotics. I shrink up a lemon into wedges, and squeeze 2 or 3 right into a coffee cup. I go away the squeezed lemon wedges in the cup, upload water and microwave the lemon water for a pair of minute. Drink 2 to 3 cups or till you spot the discomfort subsiding. I oftentimes observe a distinction after the 2d cup. try this a minimum of two cases an afternoon till the indications are long gone. The lemon acts as a tonic and clears out the micro organism. i be responsive to it sounds too elementary and too sturdy to be genuine, despite if it works like a miracle. once you're experiencing discomfort, I advise ibuprofen alongside with the warmth lemon water. This concoction has been a existence saver! not extra antibiotics and yeast infections following. :) supply it a attempt.

See a urologist and ask them about a disease called Interstitial Cystitis. The symptoms mimic bladder infections but it doesn't really respond to antibiotics. You can have the disease and be more prone to infection.

Also make sure your doctor cultures out your urine sample. It will till him/her if the antibiotic they prescribed if working on the infection. Its not uncommon to have to try 2 or 3 different antibiotics before the right one is found.
