I have done it before but I was half asleep I have had tons of things like this happen to me that are plenty weird just wanting to know how to do it at will and control it.

Rubbing against an electrically charges surface will also charge your own body --synthetic fabrics such as carpet and some be linens are good examples.

The best way to discharge the electricity from your own body is to hold a metal key to a large metal object (such as a refrigerator or stove) and let the charge "jump" to the large metal object from the hand holding the key. There are other ways, but they can be painful.

This problem is almost certainly going to be more difficult in winter than in summer. In summer, especially when it is raining or storming, the moist air will itself carry away any excess charge from your body. But the dry air of winter has far fewer water molecules to take away the charge that builds and builds.

ummmm .... did you have a few drinks that night. Nobody can draw and eject electricity from your body .... perhaps you need to go and spend some more time at that hospital you just came out of... no offence intended but you sound like you got issues.

In the winter you rub your feet on a rug and then touch a door knob.
If its the right rug and shoes you will generate static electricity. Guess your walking in your sleep and dragging your feet.

Maybe it was a dream. Metaphysics don't exist. Stick to the philosophy of the boards here.

Philosophy is like being in a dark room and looking for a black cat.
Metaphysics is like being in a dark room and looking for a black cat that isn't there.
Theology is like being in a dark room and looking for a black cat that isn't there and shouting “I found it!”
