A lady came to my house beating on my door a few hours ago and she was crying. Her husband beat her up then he came over to my yard demanding to see his wife. I told him to leave because I had already called the Police. He decided to be a bad boy and step up on my porch yelling so I did a Tai Kwon Do kick to his Jaw and bnroke it. Now the Police may charge me with assault. This sucks!! I was protecting his wife and he's on my property.

I applaud you immensely for stepping up to help the lady. I live in the city and I can't tell you how many f-ing times somebody is hurt or having a mental breakdown or being beaten ... and NOBODY responds. It's pathetic.

You were very smart to tell the guy you had already called the police. Sounds like panic got the best of you when he shot up onto your porch (the loser). Could also be you sensed you were in so much danger you truly needed to incapacitate the idiot.

Lol! You broke his jaw and most of me is grinning ear to ear about it ... on the other hand, sounds like your body is a weapon and it's time to realize your power so you don't kill someone or end up in the slammer.

My hat goes off to you overall. But I do wonder if after he started yelling and acting insane, you'd have slammed the door in his face and waited for the cops instead. God these things are hard to judge.

Added: Just remembered this ... generally if someone is acting in a menacing manner on YOUR property, you are legally let off the hook in most cases since your actions are considered self-defense! Good man.

Dont worry about it. Its self defence...You felt fearful...he had already beat around his woman and there was no reason to make you think he wont go after you. Thats why there are self-defence laws.

In my opinion you definatly did the right thing.... can you say it was self-defence? I mean he was already hurting someone and he wasn't exactly approaching you nicely(obviously you know that)

Please see my answer to your first question also

Depending on the state you live in,coming to the defense of others gives you certain immunities.

More policemen are injured or killed when responding to
"domestic Violence" calls than any other.
