Unless a person has a brain disorder or chemical imbalance, drugs of any kind are never the answer. The person needs therapy from a legit therapist. He/she needs to find out why they are so angry and why they are acting out. That will lead to a solution.

The age of the person with an anger problem is crucial in answering your question. Many children are onsetting early with bipolar disorder. If it is a child, and the anger seems to come out of nowhere and has no reason or rhyme behind it, and it seems more like rage than just someone getting angry about something, then they should be evaluated for a chemical imballance. Children and adolescents who are bipolar should not take anti-depressants nor should they take medications for ADHD because these meds can make them cycle rapidly and increase bipolar symptoms.

I am on Wellbutrin for anxiety and a sedative at night to relax. I am up one minute and down the other. I don't really have an anger problem, more of an 'emotion control' problem. I get worked up really easily, and rather than becoming angry I get upset. This regimin is helping control these waves of emotion.

Depends on why you're angry. Talk to your doc and get a referral to a counselor. Sounds cliche, but if you're asking this question, anger is controlling your life. Swallow your pride, make the call, take back control of your life. Good luck.
