That is just stomach acid. Some dogs will throw up stomach acids if they skipped a meal.

I would be concerned about not eating though.

Call the vet again if he says the same get a new vet. Does he have any other symptoms besides not eating and throwing up? If he is acting really tired and not wanting to get up? That is what my dog was like when he had lyme

Don't force feed, if they aren't eating it's because they aren't well.

Yellow foamy vomit may be bile, which burns when thrown up. I would find another vet and take the dog in. Something is probably wrong.

When my dog got sick after grooming (believe me, I am changing groomers!) and vomited, the vet recommended he eat just boiled chicken or hamburger. You could mix it with rice if you wish to. He was fine on the chicken and burger.

Other than that, I agree with the others that you need a new vet.

THAT YELLOW STUFF IS STOMACH ACID I WOULD JUST GIVE THE DOG ITS FAVORITE TABLE SCRAPS FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS SO THAT IT WILL ATLEAST GET SOMETHING ON ITS STOMACH, THEN GET THE DOG BACK ON IT'S NORMAL DIET IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN THE FOOD YOURE FEEDING HIM MAY NOT BE AGREEING WITH THE DOG'S STOMACH. MAKE THE DOG A PLATE OF PLAIN RICE, SCRAMBLED EGGS, LUNCH MEAT, SOMETHING, ANYTHING--BEING EMPTY STOMACHED LIKE THAT BURNS THE STOMACH WALLS.

your dog may be constipated. You may want to give them tuna in oil. If he has been going to the bathroom he may just have an upset stomach. My vet told me to give my dog pepto bismal tabs. It really seems to work. Your animal may die if you don't do something. Keep him away from litter boxes and "female" trashcans. They love to eat them. It always makes them sick. Find a new vet. Yours dosen't seem to care enough.

Try a different dog food. I use Purina Beneful dry food. My dogs used to do it too. I figured it was something in the dog food, like an allergy, and changed to this. No problems since.
