Go and speak to the local hairdressers.
What shampoo and conditioner do you use because some coat the hair thus making dyes difficult to absorb into your hair which means the colour washes away quicker.

if you dye your hair often it will be porous and colour will wash straight out. you should go to the hairdressers and get a good conditioning treatment for coloured hair and buy a good shampoo for coloured hair (get these from a salon) also you should get your hair done by a hairdresser
the treatment should lock the colour in to your hair

I have this problem with brown dyes (I'm blond). My hairdresser has taken to putting black in with the dark brown and for the last two colours I've had they've stayed really well. I dunno what you'd add to black to get the same effect though .......

Maybe you need to stop washing it so frequently. Perhaps instead of everyday try every 2-3 days. And make sure when you wash your hair you get a shampoo and conditioner that doesn't fade your color.

it could be that ur hair can't contain hair dye, some people's hair holds it for ages and others don't, try one with no amonia in it, and a colour conditioner with the shampoo to match... or u could try dying it a darker brown...

the reason hair dye fades so quickly on your hair is because the cuticle scales of the hair are open which allowes the dye to wash out. what you need to do is work on the condition of your hair.try having regular hair cuts and treatments and stop doing it yourself , go to someone who knows what their doing.trust me.

The only way it will last is if you get it bleached first. This pulls all the color out of you hair and then add the black die. however this is really bad for you hair.
