I'm really good at drawing out the emotion from music and from pictures.. I know which pictures I want to use -which music - I just want to know which software to use. I could have it professionaly done if I wanted to - but I don't - I really want to do it myself so please just suggest a software nothing else.. Is Photoshop a good way to make one? What about Powerpoint? I've seen even commericials made from Powerpoint.. How do you change the format of a Powerpoint to flow together like the commericials? ( where I can just save it on a CD and not have to kill the moment by opening up Powerpoint and then pressing play, etc.)

Really? There's no way to make music throughout the whole PowerPoint??

Well I am a bit nervous to buy software I have never used before.. Especially one as expensive as Flash.. I have been playing around with this site for a while - and once I create something - I can even order it for DVD or download it to an ipod.. It lets you add music, transitions, and time how long you want each picture to last.. I can even put video in if I want.. What do you guys think? Professional enough? Any potential problems you see? THANKS

Photoshop is good for resizing and retouching your pictures before arranging them in a slideshow. You can't make a slideshow in Photoshop, though.
Power Point is not bad, and there's a way to save it like you want -- without having to open up Power Point and press play to show your pictures. You just choose "Power Point Show", not "Power Point Presentation", from the "Save as" menu. The extension of your saved file will be .pps.
Anyway, in Power Point you won't be able to have a background music for the whole show. You can add sound, but to each slide, one by one.
If you want to play your slideshow with a song in the background, I recommend you use Macromedia Flash. It's more complicated to figure out, but you'll get a more professional result.

Addition -- on the website your provided later:
If you are satisfied with the presentation you put together on that website, then go for it. After all, it's your wedding and you - and only you - are the one who must be happy! I think it's ok. I wonder if you can add your own music or you can just use one of their options though. If I were you, I'd still use Flash but if you have never used it, it will be really hard for you to obtain the result you want without help. Flash isn't easy to learn on your own. So, if you want to make your montage yourself, go with that website and order the DVD when you are done. It's still more professional looking than a Power Point presentation and you can have music all throughout it.
When is your wedding? If I'm not that busy in that period, I can help with Flash.

If you really want to creat a good looking lasting memory, the bast way to go is Flash. It is not hard to learn and unlike powerpoint it has some real professional looking features. It also does not require a slide show or preview. You can burn it to a DVD, and it will run just like a movie. Or you can add controls that make it changable, the choice would be yours. You can also add a lot of effects, and place different music at different points in the showing. You can also record your own voice to it.

There are two great software titles out there specifically for what you are trying to do

1) Ulead CD & DVD PictureShow 4 (www.ulead.com)

2) ProShow Gold (www.photodex.com).

Both software titles allow you to add images, transitions and music effects to your montage. I'd personally go with the Ulead software title, as the menu integration is much better than the ProShow software.

Photoshop isn't used really to make montages. You would use Photoshop to edit the images before you turned them into a movie. Such as rotating, removing color, resizing, etc.

Powerpoint isn't really what you are going to want. PowerPoint was specifically designed for business presentations. And if you use PowerPoint, that is the feel you will give off with it. The above software is great for burning CD's and DVD's that will read in most common DVD players. They will even create VCD's which are CD's that will work in DVD players. Each one is less than $70 ($69.99 and $39.99)

forget those gloves, no man or woman's gonna get it and no man or woman's gonna get the victorian topic. i won't be able to fairly get a experience for that gown because it isn't any longer a real image, it is photoshopped or some thing. it sounds like tacky yuletide garland wrapped round it. how are you going to have wedding ceremony festivities on the day of the marriage without seeing the groom? the first aspect ought to be the ceremony, otherwise you'd be playing your video games with him and he will see you earlier. some say it is undesirable success, I say it is only wonderful for him to work out you for the first time that day as you go back down the aisle. in case you want to have trekking and different campy events you may want to attempt this on your jack & jill bathe / bachelor bachelorette party previous to the marriage yet no longer on the marriage day imho. i love the nice and comfy air balloon theory yet once you've a airplane to capture the day after the marriage on your honeymoon, there is not any telling how lengthy the balloon will be up and the position it is going to land! so that you may want to omit your vacation in case you've already were provided that booked.
