An escort dresses better, and gets paid legally, but the customer. A hooker only gets paid for sex and is illegal. Maybe an escort might have sex with a customer, but it's not her specialty/main purpose in working. But with the Hooker, it is.

A hooker is paid for sex. An escort is paid for being a person's date, usually to some sort of social event.
Many "escort" services are just covers for high cost prostitution, but that is not the literal meaning of the word escort.

"escort" is a classy tone rendering service for variety of function and its for rich and socialites out there, they do look sophisticated and very expensive, depend on what service being perform, they are on the phone book and usually decent male and female on the business.
"hooker" is a trashy way call for prostitution, they usually hang around the boulevard to catch attention to people who buy cheap sex. manage by their "pimp" and being beaten and exploited out there. they usually have been and being addicted into something like different drugs or cocaine and unaware of how men treat them how ever they please.
but morally speaking, there's no difference cause both perform sex labor in some kind of way. they carry, contract and deliver disease and that is bad to the society.
im just curious about the authority, how come they do not arrest the escort service but constantly pull all the hookers out there? it seems by doing that, they are allowing it to distinguish the two. if you are an escort if you handle your business in a hush hush way and not on the street, its all right but if you are a hooker and you stand in the corner, its a no no cause you decrease the city's reputation? just wondering..........

A hooker is a professional prostitute who is guaranteed to take money for services provided. An escort is a campanion who might offer "extra" if he or she likes you, but sex is not necessarliy on the table.

a hooker is paid for sexual favors, an escort is paid for the pleasure of her company at an event of some kind and does not provide sex as part of the package.
