Lets say you had always dreamed of having a relationship and know what it is like to be rejected. It is a harsh and cold feeling. You have never been in a relationship and are in your 20’s. You finally meet somebody that genuinely likes you but your feelings are mixed about them. This person has a great heart and personality so you don’t want to hurt them in any way. How do you tell them you do not feel the same way without hurting their feelings? Is that possible?

think about it....alot of times when you tell someone you're not interested you can say it in a mean way, or a nice way, but the outcome will still hurt the person. you can't take on their feelings; their emotions for her to deal with no matter how difficult. you can only do your part, which is to tell her and to do it in a sensitive manner.

There really is no way of not hurting their feelings, but you have to, if you really don't care for them in that way .. in the long run it will be better for both of you if you are honest now..

I don't know. That's a good question but I don't think its possible to do without hurting them.

No, you can't tell them without hurting them. If he/she genuinely likes you that obviously makes it even harder for them.
