I mean you, personally?
Hebrews 10:25 says: "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching"
The question I'm asking is what is your personal motive for going to church?
- Do you go, because it's expected of you? (out of ritual)
- Do you go, because you want to learn more about God?
- Do you go, because you want to contribute to the growth of fellow Christians?
- Other reasons?
IF you DON'T Go ~ Why not? (Do you feel as if you're justified in thinking the way you do? Do you feel your relationship is right with God? Are you with-holding something from your fellow Christians by not going?)

I have found that I've been more easily distracted by women at church than at a bar. I usually looked for the attractive ones there and for some strange reason seem more appealing. I've seen and been through some major things at church that were really disturbing and bizarre. Once all of the windows blew out. But that was during my confirmation as a Lutheran in a Catholic church. Or was that a movie? I don't hate church and I think they are beautiful, they can represent so many emotions and retain memories for most of us. One day many will return to their roots for comfort and for death. I think it's sad that there is any kind of monetary attachments to it. There are those who believe one day there will no longer be a need for a monetary system at all.

I dont go. But I have fellowship with other Christians, just not formal church services.
I dont go because I am not happy with organied religion. In my town, its all hell-fire and damnation preaching, very harsh and judgemental congregations. I have never felt welcomed or un-judged in any church I have attended.
Am I justified? Yes I believe I am. I do not make freinds in church, i am judged when I go, and I dont learn anything. I learn more with my firiends, when we Bible study, I am not judged, and feel free to research without mans ideals.
Is my relationship right with God? Yes, more than it has ever been.
Am I withholding something? Yes, I am a sinner and I am not giving them a chance o judge me. Could I teach them something, yes, but they wont listen, so I'd rather speand my time with people I can learn from, and appreciate me.

I currently have no motivation to go to church (am a christian). Actually I don't get the message that I need from the church I attend. I'd rather watch TBN. I go to church and actually want to fall asleep. I keep looking at my watch. What people need is a church where they get the word of God from the bible itself. I prefer something relating to revelations. There's a motivation.

i do no longer particularly get what you're asking. Are you 'determining to purchase' for a church? Having been a working in the direction of Catholic for 40 years, i can inform you that while you're severe approximately being a catholic, you will could desire to take training interior the Catholic faith and then era you're able to qualify to recieve the sacraments. as quickly as you actual became a Catholic, you're able to understand that in the time of accordance to the Roman Catholic faith, that's the single genuine church, so which you ought to no longer be a Roman Catholic and a member of a protestant denomination on a similar time. you will could desire to p.c.. one.

No....I don't go because I'm not going to go to a church where the preacher left his wife for another woman. Most of the people have left this "church" already. This is the only church around, and I'm not going to drive an hour one way just to go to church.

I don't go to church because I can pray and talk to God at home, or where ever for that matter. Just because I don't join church every Sunday doesn't make me a bad Christian, in my opinion anyway.

I don't go to church because I see no point in going to a man-made building every Sunday to worship God.
I can worship God in my own house just as easily and I don't have to worry about church politics and theft.
God is inside you. Pray to Him and He will listen. You don't have to be in some church for God to listen to you. He listens regardless of where you are.
