play a video game that works for me or read a book. as long as you busy yourself with something that requires you to think then you should be good to go.

I also delve myself into my work. like last weekend i had something on mind that was troubling me...i knew there was no solution to the problem....so i went into the office for a few hours and cleaned up my database and reorganized my office. (just busy work stuff you don't have time to do mon-fri ya know. needed to get done) and because i accomplished those little minute things it made the troublesome thing on my mind seem less troublesome.

Do some algebra. Or watch a totaly halarious stand-up comedian. One of those is probably a bit more entertaining than the other, but both should work for awhile. Or a definately 3rd option would be to inflict an immense amount of pain u pon yourself & you'll forget about everything but the pain. Until the pain goes away that is.
