Ok, well I do not follow any particular religion. I think prayer is a form of meditation and maybe communication with a Higher Source (haven't decided on this one yet).
It is a way to concentrate your mind on a particular thought: a want, need, goal, or gratitude (etc.) ... or to let go of fear and worry by "handing over" your concerns to what someone believes to be a Higher Source (regardless of what they call that Source).
Trouble is: some people pray for healing while another person prays for the annihilation of Arabs or Jews. So prayer is not a pure form of meditation in the wrong hands.
If prayer helps someone feel more confident, connected, purposeful, loving, peaceful or productive, I see no harm in it.

study the item. finished waste of time. hypothesis assumes that religiosity is genetic depending on the kind of youngsters non secular people have vs non. What they fail to think about is that non-non secular are open to using contraceptives even as fanatically religous each man or woman isn't. to boot, the religiosity is propagated through indoctrination of the youngsters and being that non secular typically have better households, the indoctrination spreads wider in the course of the inhabitants. Religiosity is immediately stricken by using the point and kind of coaching that folk income.

To pray means to talk to God but you wouldn't know that cause you don't even believe in God. When you are praying, you are also meditating. You should try it! It is good for the soul. God Bless!

Prayer is often times done out of desperation. In which case, you'd be praying to any and all gods in hopes of being heard.

It means stop dwelling on what a word means that you don't care about.
Psst... You do believe in God.
I can sense it.
You know it too.
