The bible has none...if you study it and learn the context of each verse. Many take verses out of context to try to make their point and say scripture contradicts itself.

Where do you believe (if you do) there are contradictions...and why do you believe so?

In the 2nd Chronicles thing, what is there to stutter about?

2Ch 22:9 And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.
2Ch 22:10 But when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah.
2Ch 22:11 But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.
2Ch 22:12 And he was with them hid in the house of God six years: and Athaliah reigned over the land.

There are no contradictions in the Bible- the main problems are :

#1 many verses taken out of context and compared to other verses also taken out of context

#2 lack of understanding - we often try to interpret things by our own culture, how we were raised and understand things but if we look at the Bible from a Hebrew perspective, taking into account the culture and Hebrew idioms and what things were going on at the time, we will see things in a whole new light and they will begin to make more sense

#3 audience- often times we don't pay much attention to who the speaker / writer is addressing. Many christians want to beat the unbeleivers in the head with certain scriptures in the Bible when those scriptures were specifically directed to the believer- most of the Bible is written to those who already called themselves followers- a lot of scriptures are warning the BELIEVERS , those who professed with their mouths but were still walking the walk of damnation to repent and be careful not to lead the innocent astray. A lot of confusion ensues over not realizing whether the audience intended were Jews, Gentiles, believers, unbelievers , Pharisees, etc. Much would be cleared up if that were understood.

If more Christians would live scripture and heed the words that were meant for them, rather than beating self proclaimed athiest in the head with scripture that was never meant for them (at least not at that time) we would see a LOT more converts and a lot more respect from the unbelieving community.

The truth of the matter is that the errors and contradictions that people claim are in the Bible are false. The only contradictions people find in the Bible are ones that show them that what they are dong in life is not in God's will. I think that people like to say that the Bible should not be taken laterally have probably found something that they are doing goes against what God would have us doing. We need to stop making excuses for not following Christ and take what the Bible has to say to heart and make a commitment to live righteous and holy. Oh and I don't believe there are any contradictions. I believe this because the word of God is Christ and He is perfect. God Bless

There are some on the first page!

In Genesis 1, it says God created creatures, then men, but in Genesis 2 it says God created men, then creatures. Which is it?

Mark 15:22 and it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
John 19:14-15 And about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! But they cried out...crucify him!"

Paul says in the Bible , "God is NOT the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33)". Yet everyone knows the story in the Bible where God, at Babel, CONFUSED the language of the people?

If you are really interested in Biblical contradictions, I suggest you read "Gospel Fictions", by Randel Helms. An example, In Mark's resurrection narrative he ends with the women running away form the tomb in terror and in fear saying nothing to anyone. Matthew's account, written after Marks, says in Matt. 28:8 that, "They hurried away from the tomb in awe and great joy, and ran to tell the disciples." This is just one of many. This should not be surprising considering the first gospel of the new testament was written at least 40 years after the death of Christ the others many years later. Also considering the writers of the gospels had different objectives.

Yes, you can find contradictions by taking out of context. (And many do, in their zeal.) But there are plenty of clear contradictions. Ironically, many biblical-apoogists then also take these out of context to try and alleviate the contradiction.

And that is just talking about the bibles self-contradictions. That is not even the scientific and historical problems with the bible.

The bible itself is one huge contradiction - word of a god written by a human. Why would a god need a human to write anything?
