I believe that Israel are being amazingly aggressive and are completely wrong. They are destoying a country and killing citizens. The U.N. won't do anything about it as nobody respects it anymore. No individual country will confront Isreal because they have the full backing of the U.S.A. What are your views and understanding of this mess

Have you ever heard of the Total War policy taken by nations in order to end a war swiftly and stop long term casualties? Destroy the Military, political, civil and psychological back up of an enemy and he will be utterly defeated, thus saving your country and theirs from a long term war that could and probably will draw more casualties...

American examples of this:
Grant's strategy to end the Civil War along with Sherman's Scorched Earth policy.

Truman's Nuclear Bombs
As it was expected that the Japanese would sacrifice 10 million (maybe was an overstatement but you get the point) soldiers to protect Japan while the US would have to sacrifice also a big ammount to end the war. So they used the Total War method and the war ended...of course it was worse for Japan due to radiation, but at the point it was a better choice.

Thats what Israel is doing ending the war swiftly, as they should have done long ago.

Be careful about making to hasty a decision. At first I htough Israel was too heavy handed

but think about it... It is ironic that last week Hezbollah bombed the largest arab city in Israel, Nazareth and if I was gunna make a stink about arabs bombing arabs and it would be that and snatching soldier accross a border

Hezbolah is on the border and funded by Iran, they can lob whatever bombs Iran gives them at civilians and children, arabs, jews and christians clearly Iran funded major underground bunkers for Hezbollah to hid and Lebannon is not doing anything about Hezbollah, if Lebannon is not able they could ask for help from other arabs to oust Hezbollah

Some commentators claimes yesterday that a few weeks ago there were nuclear talks in Iran that some felt were breaking down and a high ranking person was said to fly from Iran to Lebbannon and then the two soldiers were graqbbed, some feel as a diversion to the nulclear talks to talk attention off Iran

I think Israel feels more than threatened by an arm of Iran over the border especially since the president of Iran openly said majoy serious stuff about blowing Israel off the map How would anyone in their right mind expect Israel not to be concerned about Hezbollah and I think Israel is so threatened by the thrests of Iran you will see them do everything they can to neutralize Hezboallah the next weeks because they probably feel its a serious threat to their existance

this probably isnt realy about merely a few prisoners, its about a countries right to ezist

All there targets are strategic....

Iran and Syria are supplying the weapons so Israel is targeting the routes that the weapons are coming in on. Yeah civilians are going to get hurt but that all comes with war. Israel is doing the right thing.

HAHAHA....How do the Jews control America. America was founded by Christians and the majority of American population is Christianity

Well... it is called war. Civilian or soldier, any so called casualty is innocent, since none of them started the battle. It is surely NOT a rescue mission for kidnapped soldiers as Israel claims. world is a chessboard and we are not pawnes, we can't even get to watch the game, we are the ones who are waiting outside to learn who won.

I guess you were asleep when breaking news reported that the Hezbollah cowards fired missiles on Israel from Lebanon. I guess you were asleep when they kidnapped two of Israel's soldiers. Wake up, splash a little water on your face, and while you're at it, work on your grammar, and spelling, because they suck.

"Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." -- Ariel Sharon to Shimon Peres, October 3rd, 2001, as reported on Kol Yisrael
