Colorado state tax is 2.9% (food and prescription drugs exempt); many cities and counties have their own rates which are added to the state rate. Total could be as high as 9.9%.

9% on non-food items - includes city tax, I think state is (8.25%)San Francisco, CA

Texas 8.25% Sales Tax, but no sales tax on groceries/food items.
