I know what your taste probably is... Some great books are Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, it's the best book I've ever read (it's about a prostitute, who goes through a lot, but it's really good), Harry Potter (I'm sorry, that may not be your taste, but I had to say it... it under rated because of those damned movies, lol).... A Child Called It (be prepared, it's really sad, but it really makes you think, and it's an autobiography by a guy who was TERRIBLY abused as a child)... Those are the best books I've ever read..

The five people you meet in heaven. By Mitch Albom.
Its a pretty short read. I gave it to a friend of mine after her father died. She said it was a very good book and it helped her cope with her fathers death.
It is a very cool idea of how heaven might be.
Its a very good book even if there hasnt been a death of a friend or family member. 5 out of 5 stars.

I just read "queen of dreams" and I loved it
It was about this woman who grew up never really being able to connect with her mother. Her mother was a dream reader and was always so preoccupied. It's also got a side story of her chai house and what happens when a starbucks moves in across the street. I thought it was excellent, and it was easy reading.
