A "new age" bookstore clerk near my apartment told me the way to get money is to pray to satan. He said it is harmless cuz I don't even need to really like satan all I have to do is say the magic words. Here they are: "Satan the great and noble leader of mankind, come forth and spill money from your great pockets into my wallet, bank account, and life. I will bless and honor U as long as u do this sir. MenA" (He says you reverse amen to mena and I am not sure why.)

Simple solution.

Go back to the store and tell him you forgot the incantation. He'll repeat it. Then just check his wallet - if it's full of cash, you might as well try the prayer yourself.

::laughing::

Please tell me you didn't buy anything from this guy. Like, a bridge or anything?

The whole thing notwithstanding, "just saying the words" isn't how magic works. Aleister Crowley defined magic as "the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will" - a definition I agree with.

Core to that definition is WILL. If you're "just saying the words" then there's no will or intent involved.

Not to mention that saying "I will bless and honor you as long as you do this sir" to ANY higher power or deity and then not meaning it is asking for trouble.

These new aged book store clerks and their allegiance to the Dark Lord. So then as best I understand this sounds like a bastardization of an old Wicca glam ( charm ). That clerk is getting his mojo mixed up. If you really want something in this life you can will it into being, you must of course except the consquences of your actions.

I think he was pulling your leg, hoping to see how gullible you are. According to Judaism, the original source, "satan" is a word that means challenger. What the bible refers to as "Satan" is the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges - an angel who does exactly as God instructs him to do. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it can be a meaningful choice. Christianity eventually screwed up this concept and made Satan _God's_ opponent rather than man's opponent, which of course doesn't really make sense even from the Christian viewpoint.

You'd probably get better results from feng shui.

That is extremely ridiculous. You may do it if you wish; I don't really think that you will receive any money, but I do know that you will probably become morally bankrupt. Amen spelled backward is Nema, not Mena. I am dumbfounded that anyone would believe this or even wish it were true! I have placed my faith and trust in Jesus, and am very happy.

PLEASE, do not give Satan a foothold into your life. He can destroy you, and everything that you hold dear. God is the source of all of those things and yes Satan is strong and he can probably do just that. He is called an angel of light in scripture (...No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light." 2 Corinthians 11:14- new testament) , but it is not the true light. Jesus is the true light. " I am the light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life." John 8:12 New Testament. God bless you and keep you safe as you search for truth. Thank you for asking!! Hugs

The clerk is ignorant; don't follow the path of ignorance.

Sata is the great deceiver; he may grant you some trinket in the short term, but he will destroy your life.

Stay as far away from him as you can.

Want true riches?

Mat 6:19 "Don't collect for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.
Mat 6:20 But collect for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves don't break in and steal.
Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Follow the True Light, follow Jesus.

well, i suppose you could do that, but its certainly not harmless,
because satan is a being in the collective, and by praying to him
you are giving him more power and inviting him to **** with your life.

what makes you think praying to a god of evil is going to get you anything? gullible?

do you still believe in santa claus? easter bunny?

The best way to get money is
WORK.

praying to satan is stupid, immoral, and potentially
dangerous.

It would make sense that praying to satan for money would work - as simply wanting money is sinful.

Praying to God for help when you are really in need is one thing - God will take care of our needs.

But it is nobody's need to be rich - as Jesus said 'how difficult it is for the rich to get to heaven"

Wow, I thought that christians were ridiculous... this pseudo-pagan, wannabe Wicca, church of satan nonsense is really hilarious! If we got all of the above groups together and added up their IQs, would we reach double digits? Probably not...

no...do not do it.

You reverse the amen because you are turning your back on Christ. Amen is simply "It is done"... Do you really want to honor
satan? If you are a Christian you wouldn't. What is more important..a fat wallet...or your soul?
