Titus 1:1-3

This letter is from Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I have been sent to bring faith to those God has chosen and to teach them to know the truth that shows them how to live godly lives. This truth gives them the confidence of eternal life, which God promised them before the world began--and he cannot lie. And now at the right time he has revealed this Good News, and we announce it to everyone. It is by the command of God our Savior that I have been trusted to do this work for him.

There are several verses in the Bible where God states that He cannot lie. Here are just a few. Hope it helps. "God is not a man, that he should lie" (Numbers 23:19)
"...which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago" (Titus 1:2) Also, Jesus, who is God in the flesh, said, "I am...the Truth" (John 14:6). Jesus Christ is the emdodiment of all truth. God is not man that He can lie. God is Holy; that means He is absolutely perfect and pure. You can rest assured that every word of God is truth, and will not be revoked.

But god did lie in the bible. He told adam and eve not to eat from the tree or they would surely die. Later he said that the reason he didn't want them to eat from the tree of knowledge was because they would have become like them, i.e. gods. So he did lie to adam and eve......
