I don't have quite enough to go on with what you are saying ....
you have software and driver installed?
add more info and I will respond more.
You haven't added more info ... I will try a bit with what you gave....
With it attached, open "My Computer", and the USB item should be listed as a drive, open that, and your photos should be there, then highlight them and "copy to" a chosen folder. They will now be transferred onto your o=computer hard drive.
Alternatively, download Picasa from Google, install and open it, then choose the drive, and follow directions from there.
