Hezbollah not only has armed and political wings. it also boasts an extensive social development programme. The civilian wing also runs hospitals, news services, and educational facilities. Its Reconstruction Campaign (Jihad al-Bina) is responsible for numerous economic and infrastructural development projects in Lebanon.[9] The group currently operates at least four hospitals, 12 clinics, 12 schools and two agricultural centres that provide farmers with technical assistance and training. It also has an environmental department and an extensive social assistance programme. Medical care is also cheaper than in most of the countries private hospitals and free for Hezbollah members. Most experts believe that Hezbollahs social and health programmes are worth hundreds of millions of dollars annually.Hezbollah mainly gets its money from donations. It's no secret that Hezbollah receives financial help from Iran, and Syria. Many Arabs in the USA also send money to Hezbollah.

And your point is? Hezbollah is needed for Lebanon to survive? Then you better go tell the Lebanese to disband their worthless Government because their true government is Hezbollah and their true leader is that Nasrallah guy.

So. Al-Qaida's affiliates also fund hundreds of schools (madrasas) and hospitals and charities, which in turn bring in revenues to finance their evil Islamic Empire schemes. Good works mean nothing if it is a smokescreen for evil goals and intents. (I can already see how many people will hijack this statement)

Hezbollah may have been founded for good intentions (keeping Lebanon free during their idiotic civil war)...but since then they have done nothing but antagonize Israel and the USA. Hezbollah (if it still loves Lebanon) should disarm themselves and stay in Politics and continue their social work. Then again they have been asked this repeatedly and they refused...so i guess no luck there.

Hezbollah undermines the Rule of Law of in Lebanon by providing things that the Government should be providing. They're trying to take the place of the government and take over it's processes. This will just mean that all the innocent people living in Lebanon will be in constant war because Hezbollah never stops pulling terrorist tactics.

You forgot to add this.....

Hezbollah's armed wing has carried out or has been linked to hundreds of terror attacks. Among them:

• The 1983 suicide bombing that killed more than 200 U.S. Marines in their Beirut barracks.

• The kidnappings of Americans in Lebanon in the 1980s.

• The 1985 hijacking of TWA Flight 847.

When Israel withdrew its forces from southern Lebanon in 2000, Hezbollah claimed credit for driving the Israelis

Hezbollah may do a great job of looking out for its own ilk..So what??? Hezbollah targets innocents and commits atrocities to achieve its own political ends. That makes them terrorists, and an enemy of the USA and out allies.

Seriously, I hope they keep it up. I hope they keep fighting as hard as they can. I hope they fight to the last man. Then, I hope he is killed. Problem solved.

How many hospitals and schools were funded by the government under Saddam in Iraq? I guess you think he was great too?.

It is a shame it is still a terrorist organisation. I would not consider sending my kids to one of their so-called schools.
