I nursed my daughter for about 6 or 7 months. The sensitivity from breastfeeding (nipple area) never went away. It used to be a highlight of sex for my husband and I, but now I dread to be touched there. Even going braless is extremely irritating. I thought as time went by, that it would go away, but so far it hasn't. ( Our daughter is 3 years old now). Is there something that I can do to get back the pleasurable feeling?? Thanks for all your help!!!!

Can't help you. I don't view breasts as sexual objects....good luck and I hope things work out

I'd check in with your doctor. Everything changes after having a baby. (I have a 15mo old.) Physically, things can be very different during sex. But, the one thing I've heard over and over is that different is o.k., but if there is any pain you should definitely see a doctor.
Also, make sure you talk to your husband if you haven't. I'm sure he doesn't want to hurt you and there's plenty of other things you can try instead!
Good luck.

I don't know how common this is, but it does happen. It isn't so much pain, as discomfort and oversensitivity. I also experienced that, however, for me it eventually faded (the actual feeling). I still relate contact with my breasts to that feeling, however, so even though it's faded, they still aren't a pleasure zone.

Ask your doctor about it. She/He may be able to help you...it could be a cream that you need.

That is weird because I breastfed my two children and the sensation is awesome when my husband and I have sex.

Maybe you have an ongoing thrush infection.

Quite possibly it is hormonal. Ask your doctor...
