It is because of what Jesus Himself said. It is not tunnel-vision, or due to a lack of concern. Christians believe that God's only answer to the sin problem, (that all humans share in), is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is because the Old and New Testaments of the Bible make this fact abundantly plain. The Lord Jesus Himself made the point abundantly clear on many occasions. However, He also did more to save mankind from Hell than any other person that ever lived.

Religion, Money, Philosophy, Good Works, and so on do not cleanse us from our sins. Only the sacrifice of a sinless man is able to satisfy the righteous judgment of a holy and just God. Fortunately that God loves us and paid for our sins with His own blood. (Acts 20:28).

This one is easy! If you TRULY believe what Christianity teaches you then you can't pick and chose what to believe and what to throw away. It's not the "10 suggestions", it's the 10 COMMANDMENTS. The bible is VERY clear that the ONLY way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. Now it's OK if you are not a Christian to believe otherwise. But as a true Christian, it's clear....There is but ONE way. So we really have no choice but to call it as the bible tells us to. Either you believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as your savior or you go to hell. It may sound harsh, but it's THE core of Christianity. You can't call yourself a Christian and then ignore that fact. So when people (Christians) tell others that they will go to hell for not accepting Christ (ie Muslims, Jewish, etc) It is NOT a judgment on the part of the Christian. WE as Christians wish everyone could go to heaven, but we also understand that the bible is clear, there is only ONE way. I hope that helps.

Because many Christians believe that Christianity is the ultimate and most popular religion and it isn't. They believe that everyone is going to hell but that belief is flawed because many religions don't believe in a hell. For some religions, Earth is actually hell. Non-believers is also a flawed name because that term is for the non-believers in a Christian God but, most people on Earth are not Christian.

Now, all Christians aren't like this, thankfully. My mother is Catholic and doesn't believe that I will go to "hell" because I'm agnostic/atheist. She just hopes that when I'm older I will turn around and come back to Christianity like she did. I don't see it, though.

A more suitable question: Why can't people accept REALITY?

Some things are written in black and white...You asking that question is like me asking: Why do people fall DOWN, as opposed to "UP"?

Because that's just how it is. Period.

Look at it logically for a second. If you were a Christian you would believe:

(1) Because of mankind's sinful nature, they are seperated from God.
(2) There's only one way to be reconciled to God - Through Jesus.
(3) Anyone who CHOOSES not to be reconciled to God, stands condemned; and is basically playing russian roulette with their soul.

Why are you so worried about what Christians feel? are you really a badguy, and Muslims and Jewish people call it by a different name, but a rose by any other name smells the same.

Some people treat religion as though it's a private club, and their idea of Heaven is reserved for members only. They want to think of themselves as part of the "elite", so they invent little excuses in their own mind to exclude those they consider "undeserving".

Boy, are they in for a surprise. God welcomes all who are willing to come to him. Just 'cause someone else doesn't like my face, has no effect on God's judgement of me.

All you can do is live the best life you can, and don't let other people's opinions get you down.

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

Because it's true. There's only one way to Heaven. And about the Muslims, they're just brainwashed. They think that their Religion is the truth for some reason. And Jews? Well, their religion was true until 2,000 years ago.

That's what they've been taught and they're reluctant or afraid to question it, because they've been told that to analyze their beliefs with logic and common sense is just the devil is whispering in their ear.

Organized religions are generally a trap held together by fear, and the more people like this proselytize or recite slogans, the less they question their beliefs and the safer they feel.

They don't 'all'. With fanatics, control is important. I am a Christian & I believe that everyone must come to their beliefs through study and life experiences.
Young people are taught that theirs is the "only true Religion". so naturally they want their friends to be 'saved', too. Normal people grow out of this & find their own way.
Good luck & God bless!

Because people want to feel like they are special, like they are the "chosen" and like their enemies are gonna get it in the end. When people are approaching life from a philosophically weak position, the only thing that they can say to win a debate is "I'll tell my daddy in the sky on you, and he'll send you to hell." Wow... compelling... to a 5 year old maybe.
