I have never bashed anyones religion. I portray my own beliefs in a light as this is what I believe. People such as muslims and buddists are allowed to flaunt their religion however they want. I say what I believe in a classroom and I get attacked as being bigoted or using hate speech. If a muslim got attacked in the same way I do there would be lawsuits flying all over. But if I defend my self, I am a racist, homophobe, or some other derogatory term. Please help me understand why?

Its nice that we have people who are willing to ignore the fact that christians have been fed to lions and the like.....no we havent been persecuted. And no buddists and others havent slaughtered their own people. Muslims in lets say iraq havent killed others for not believing the same thing. No its just christians who do all the killing.

You stand up for what's right.
Fight the good fight.
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
John 15:20
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Matthew 5:44

Ah yes, the old Christian "pesecution complex." There are two billion Christians in the world; they control the governments of America and Europian countries, and they've even gotten government legislation to support their beliefs and restrict the rights of others (not to mention the Crusades, the Inquisitions, and the Witch Burnings and heretic torturing which went on for thousands of years in Europe), and yet they're always complaining about being picked-on. What a load of crap.
Edit: It's Christians who do most of the complaining, though. Muslims too, but then I don't have to deal with them very much.

It may be admirable that you personally believe that you do not bash anyone else's faith. The reality is that regardless of your personal actions, others do so in the name of your religion. Besides it's not as if there isn't plenty of "Muslim knocking", "Hindi knocking", "Jewish knocking", "Pagan knocking" the list is endless. Hell even within the Christian faith there's knocking by other Christian groups. Sure there's plenty of "Catholic knocking" out there.
It is not that others are permitted to flaunt their faith in preference of yours. It's more that many from Mainstream faiths are not used to a concept that other spiritualitys are also valid and feel any openmindness is an attack on their personal faith.
This is about equal rights not suppression of one faith over another. HOWEVER somethings to be done if one faith is ignorant enough to preach that any spiritual concept not absolutely compatible with theirs is evil. As that includes the groups that they've splintered off from it must be lonely in that mindset.

My personal belief in this is because we Christians make people stop and think about their self gratifying lifestyles. Everything they do pleases the flesh with no concern for the soul or spirit.
Maybe if the Christians were to lobby like those other groups?

You want to know why people say christians are called racist, homophobes, because they are, mabey your not and thats great but as a whole they are, and i'm not just pulling this out of my ***, i go to a catholic school and i know them they are racist and they are homophobic and christians have bashed more gays, jews, blacks, latinos, muslums, and every other religon, than they will ever be bashed.

Have you read this board? Do you prosthelytize?
As the J-guy said "Bash not lest you be bashed in return"
Xtians DO bash other paths and lifestyles all the time. You think someone telling me that "I'm going to burn in HELL" for my lifestyle or beliefs isn't harrassment? (because it IS).
It's just that the world has gotten "smaller" and you can't terrorize the rest of us anymore. Get used to it.

Oh poor picked on Christians, finally being insulted after their almost constant persecution of the Jews and gays. You are mad that you are being treated poorly when you call atheists (which I am) moralless heathens who worship Satan.
