short and sweet... Jesus can't lie... its not God's nature, and Jesus is the Son of God and is God... maybe its hard to understand, but even if Jesus wanted to lie, he couldn't... its just not his nature (lying is a sin right? Jesus doesn't sin)

Lukas: Jesus said to Peter "Who do you say I am?
Peter said; Thou are the son of the living God. Jesus said: "Yes I am."
1. You should not call anyone father, then our Father in Heaven, tells the Scripture.
2. In older time any younger person could be call son by an elderly person, son of the flesh or not doesn't matter.
3. We are sons and daughters of the almighty so simple is that.
I hope that you are satisfied with the answer and one need to have some today unknown knowledge to understand the text in the Holy Book otherwise it can be confusing.

Yes Jesus is indeed the Living Son of God... It is only by Him that we can get to the father and He told us that " I am the way, the truth, and the light..no man come to the father but by me" He lived on this this earth as a human man and died on the cross to forgive us our sins....This was God's plan for our salvation....He gave up His Son to Save us....Isnt that awesome!!! I too have Taken Jesus into my heart and made him Lord and Savior of my life and my life has been so blessed and wonderful....yes, there are days where it does get trying, but Jesus never said life was easy and I know no matter what comes He is right there beside me.
Im so glad for you that you took Jesus as your Lord and Savior and that your life is great! Praise God forgiving us His Son Jesus so that we might live eternal life with Him in Heaven.

David,
No he didn't lie. Jesus was and is the son of God. He HAD to be both God and man in order for him to be the Lamb of God.
The problem is that we are all sinners and in Levit. it tells us that without the shedding of blood their can be no forgiveness of sins. Now since we are all sinners, how could a man pay the price for any ones sins but his own?
For this reason there had to be a virgin birth, since the sin nature is passed on through the seed of man, the Messiah's birth HAD to be from a virgin.
Since Jesus was God AND man, and since he WILLINGLY died on the cross and forgave us even that sin as he hung dying, he became the LAMB. That is the ultimate perfect sacrifice without spot or defect. His blood met all the requirements of the law for the remission and blotting out of our sins and not just something to COVER sins as the old covenant says. Once he died and rose again God exalted him and his name because of what he did to rescue us from our sins. You have discovered the truth and I urge you to continue studying the OT and the New testament to discover the they are both a love story in that they show the steadfast love of our God for ALL people over the breadth of all time. Congratulations! Pray for your Jewish people that the veil may be removed and that they would realize the love of God is for all, but "first" for them as Paul says.

i like what you're saying about our Jesus. he's all; i like my kinfolk--mom, siblings yet even as issues get so difficult i comprehend i visit turn to Him and he will be there even only to take heed to my prayer and the damage that comes from residing. i comprehend he's there for His promise is genuine for he's unlike adult adult males that lie and prepare to misinform. I desire He changed into the following (actual) and only sit down and talk with Him about each little thing and some thing yet i comprehend that my prayer reaches His ear and He solutions. i imagine that your attempt to take Jesus on your fellow Jewish sisters and brother is an fantastic undertaking and he will advantages you so under no circumstances resign to those that are ignorant of the reality you proclaim for faster or later they too will see the favor to settle for Jesus as Lord and Savior. Peace to you my pricey sister in Christ.

What is a good Jewish boy like you reading the Christian Bible for? No one can really know exactly what Jesus really said, or Moses for that matter. Live your life as you feel you should and don't worry about things that are not verifiable.

Jesus did refer to him self as the Son of God. This part has been highly publicized by the Christian faith for centuries because it fit in well with their agenda of control. It worked well when used to make people guilty about the so-called only Son of God who died for our sins.
Problem with this idea is that this was not the way Jesus described the situation. Jesus stated the kingdom of God is within you. Meaning that the spirit part of us comes from God. In jesus’ comments he obviusly thought of each of us being as an actual part of God. He recognized that all men are children or sons of God. He also did not ever see himself as being any sort of an exception to this rule. He never spoke in a way that made him sound like any more of a part of God than anyone else.
This part of Jesus’ teachings has never gotten the exposure from the Christian faith, because it elevates the rest of us to a much higher level than Christianity has us framed as. Christianity loves telling people that they are hopeless sinners. Having once actually thought of your self in the true way that Jesus taught make it hard to ever go back to the hopeless sinner idea.
You are also a true Son of God. Jesus never intended that this idea be used exclusively to describe him alone. He always intended that all of us see ourselves that way and act accordingly. That is treating all others as though they too were Valuable parts of God also. This idea has been ignored because it was not seen as a good thing to allow people to see themselves as being on a level of equality with Jesus in Gods eyes.
If you have been told these scriptural misinterpretations of Jesus’ words were true your whole life this probably seems sacrilegious. Still if you study the things that Jesus himself was supposed to have actually said it becomes more than clear that he saw himself as the brother of all men.
If he was right about this, and in my heart I believe the things that he said are true, then only one conclusion can be drawn.
If Jesus is the Son of God, and he saw himself as your brother then whom exactly is Jesus saying that your father is.
Love and blessings.
