Starting an Airline
Starting and profitably running an airline is arguably the most difficult business proposition in the world. By their nature, airlines are highly capital-intensive, fiercely competitive, fossil-fuel dependent, labor intensive, government controlled, politically influenced, and weather vulnerable. Few businesses have as many fluctuating variables to manage. Boeing recognizes that industrious aviation entrepreneurs are not discouraged by these facts, but actually inspired by the challenge.
To that end, Boeing has assembled a "Startup-Airline Support" team to assist entrepreneurs with the launch of new airlines. From concept through launch, StartupBoeing is here to help provide appropriate levels of guidance, review, analysis, data, resources, contacts, and referrals to qualified startups. Below are the key areas in airline planning and development where StartupBoeing can assist:
Business Planning: Business plan/financial model guidance and review
Airplane Selection: Airplane performance/economic analysis and selection
Airplane Sourcing: Help with buying new airplanes; connecting with leasing companies for new or used airplanes; and even finding third-party owners/managers of available used airplanes
Boeing Resources: Boeing can help with crew training, maintenance, spares, IFE, configuration, interiors, etc.
External Links: External links to aviation consultants, mapping tools, custom livery graphic artists, lenders, conferences, and more
Contact Us: StartupBoeing offers a breadth and depth of airline and airplane knowledge and resources
