1) Ask a hairstylist for a specific product recommendation

2) Use shampoo & conditioner specifically made for dry, color treated hair (preferably a salon product as opposed to a supermarket product)

3) Use a styling product such as a light pomade or a spray wax on the ends (not the roots, or it will look all greasy & gross) to coat & smooth the ends.

4) Try the product "Frizz-Ease" which is probably not how you spell it, but look for that in the store near other hair styling products -- I've seen it in large supermarkets & pharmacies.

5) Get your ends trimmed, and/or get your color touched up with a product that doesn't bleach your hair and only deposits semi-permanent color -- like Redken Shades -- that always makes my hair feel softer & look shiny/healthy.

6) - my personal favorite - Get this product made by Biosilk called "Silk Therapy". It's clear & feels kind of oily. Put a dime sized amount on the roots of your hair when it's wet -- work it in and/or comb it through. Dry and/or style as usual. Best stuff ever. Can get it in salons that sell Biosilk products (I have bought it at the JC Penney salon) and I've also seen it in large supermarkets (i.e. Meijer in the midwest).

Good luck - I know summer is a bad time for frizz. :-)

I FRY mine with color. I have problems with frizziness too. This is my hair regimen to get rid of it! (If you look at my avatar….you’ll see that it really does work!!). Good luck! =)

1. Choose a shampoo or conditioner by looking for the words smoothing, moisturizing or hydrating on the front of the bottle (I use Pantene Pro-V for dry and damaged hair).

2. After washing, towel dry and apply a smoothing or frizz serum (I like John Frieda’s Frizz Ease…found at most drug stores).

3. Let hair hang dry until it is almost fully dry. When almost dry, finish drying with a blow dryer while using a round boar-bristle brush (work with small areas at a time – do not let your hair blow all over the place, otherwise it will just become more unruly).

4. Make sure your hair is completely dry. If there is anymore moisture left it will become frizzy.

5. By using a 1-1/2 inch (or larger) curling iron or a flat iron, you can smooth out any left over frizz.

6. You can also apply a hair wax (like Bumble and Bumble Styling Wax) or pomade (like Got2B Defiant Define Plus Shine Pomade) now.

7. Finish off by using a flexible hair spray (like Finesse’s Touchable hair spray).

* Get your ends trimmed up at least every 6 weeks.

Don't keep using the chemical hair dye that comes in a box. No wonder your hair is dry, you are putting nasty chemicals on it.

Use henna hair dye. Do a Google search for it. I've never dyed my hair and I don't really want to, but if I did, I would use henna. I have also known people that have dyed their hair with henna and they swear by it.

Their hair is not frizzy or dry at all...it is soft and shiny. Henna is natural and doesn't have any chemicals in it that causes dryness. You won't need any deep conditioning treatments or any other products if you use henna dye.

As a hairstylist, one of the best products I have seen for dryness is Alterna Caviar. It makes the hair shine and helps ease the fuzziness. You can use it after every wash or for a very deep treatment, put it on dry hair at night before bed and rinse out the next day. Whatever you decide to use, give it more than one try.Good luck to you.

Olive oil and then a warm towel for as long as you can keep it on. Wash well and rinse well.
