I personally like any of these:

Zeke, Zues, Brutus, Bruce, Ceasar, Darius, Kalil, Koda, and Archie, but it does depend on what size, color, breed, and personality.

Just make sure that he can easily recognize it (don't make it sound like common commands you want him to do) and that it's simple.
