Good question. I believe it depends on what one would define as a wowrld war by today's standards. If the standard is based on the the second WW then we're already there. There world is already engaged in warfare around the globe. Too many wars to mention. This statement is based entirely on the manner in which modern day war tactics are ensued. For example, terrorism is the worlds largest threat for world war, not nuclear. Terrorism has impacted the entire globe as a handful of terrorist organizations declares war on certain religious communities or regions. We are already in the 3rd WW according to terrorist standards. It may not appear to be so on the surface but if one looks closely enough they will see that WWIII has already started and will grow to greater masses of death and destruction globally before all will be done. Hope this answer offers some perspective on your question.

The Third World War will probably start in the MIddle East, but I doubt the current Lebanese conflict is the start of it.

The Third World War won't start untill the US starts running out of water. Then they will invade Canada (we have over 50% of the entire worlds freshwater supply) at which point Britain and her allies will go against the US. I hope I'm young enough to kill some Americans when that does happen.

Well let's look at it that way, right now Israel and Lebanon are in war, IF US decides to join the war it will escalate from there, Palestine will join Lebanon so will Iran and so will Syria from there so will Iraq (to get back at US) and so will Afghanistan, US will call upon it's "brothers": UK, Canada, etc.. And there you've got the whole world in it (almost; China and Russia, i predict will stay out, unless let no other choice). And since we're dealing with terrorists, they will not think twice using nuclear weapons. All we can do now it's hold our breath and wait... Personally if i see the war escalating in the near future, I'm moving to New Zealand.

first this is to trixwagon, armaggedon is not an event it is actually a place located somewhere in israel. i used to make the same mistake. i dont think that it is the start of anything but more of a continuation. the conflict in the middle east has been going on for years, and every once in a while it will escalate. we will respect the right of israel to protect itself but we cannot take sides militarily because economically it is not sound and it will defeat the purpose of trying to establish iraq as a democracy.

to ensure that their to be an exact international warfare, each and each facet should be a minimum of extremely calmly matched. the U. S. may ought to strive against China or Russia which i do not imagine will take position interior the prompt destiny because with a globalized economic equipment, each significant ability may be financially devastated. So in case you imagine there is going to be a third international warfare, who precisely is going to be in touch. Iran and North Korea are a funny tale and there is not a Muslim us of a interior the international that ought to even wish to compete with the western international which im assuming may be allied as for his or her to be a international warfare, lots of the international should be in touch. easily, some nukes ought to hit the U. S., yet which could infrequently impact the coolest outcomes which could be a short victory for the western powers. Even this warfare on terrorism is a funny tale and particularly one sided. i'd inspire you to benefit WW1 and WW2 more suitable heavily, quite the warfare between ecu Powers on the turn of the 20 th century (1900-1913) and the treaty of Versailles. The activities and circumstances that set in action WW1 and WW2 in basic terms somewhat frankly now not exists interior the 21st century with the onset of globalization and an extremely international economic equipment and we can by no skill see warfare of the international proportions and with a genuine warfare for the survival of international locations which includes replaced into considered in 1914-1918 and 1939-1945. China and the united states are unlikely to strive against because its undesirable for business enterprise and to that end there'll be no WW3. i come around the purely ones who're attempting to cajole themselves WW3 is coming are the gun nuts who're attempting to justify the clarification why then favor to own and prepare capturing completely computerized guns.

No . . I seriously doubt it . . I think Israel is aware that the United States would like to intensify attacks and maybe draw Syria and Iran into it ; . but Israel (as I understand it) is interested ONLY in disarming Hezbollah, they're not interested in starting a world war they would just like to live quietly with their Lebaneese neighbors, which Hezbollah for the moment seems hell bent on preventing . . . pity

It's probably going to be another Vietnam the way it looks now. Probably another Great Depression is coming soon. I say it's best to get the hell out of Iraq before this thing gets too big for us. They'll probably start a draft, and have a lot of teenagers get killed in Iraq by getting their heads chopped off by angry terrorists. That's the way I see it.

If the U.S. gets involved in any way, yes.. it could end up the start of Wrold war Three. If someone would muzzle Bush and keep him out of it, we may all still survive.
