Talk to your vet about an international health certificate. You may have unique problems now though- the bird flu is a hot topic. It may be more difficult then it used to be.

I know Spain does quarentine, when me boss went to Germany though she brought her dog- no quarentine. You could always just fly into another country- try Greece- they hardly looked at our passports when we went in January. Then take a train to Spain.

Every country has different guidelines regarding the import of pets so the best thing to do is to phone DEFRA. they will advise you on what you need and how to transport the bird.

I wouldn't expect it will need quarantining providing the vet has checked it and given it the appropriate documentation but this is what you need to find out about. The vet will be able to give you all the right numbers for DEFRA if you can't find them.

I'm sure if you got a pet passport you don't have to go through quarantine, ask your vet or contact your nearest airport and they should be able to tell you or the airline you would travel with

Im not exactly positive on this..but I think it's a six mos quarantine. Call your vet and ask them.

Contact DEFRA at Quay House, Bristol and they will explain all that you need to do to export a parrot from the uk to another EU country. try www.defra.gov.org.uk this site might help.

Maybe, cuz of bird flu, but if u get him checked up, get a pet passport, and in a cage right by u, it should be fine.

you need to get him a pet passport (if they do one for birds) ask your vet and get it any vacconation it will need. but if ther is no pet passport for birds then most likley he will be quarantined
