Mao Zedong is highly praised in china for speaking for the people, he united china, and gave the people a patriotic sense of being...though it is quite odd that people all love and praise him b/c though he used the propaganda of being for the people, he caused so much pain and turmoil in china. he basically was in charge of murdering millions of people. he made china the communist country it is today.

Mao was very much famous as he ruled China with an iron fist. True, he did a good job by uniting China altogether.
However, he did so by censoring almost everything in China including the freedom to speak, publish and to practice religion.
Mao also invaded Tibet to claim it under China.
Being a peasant born, Mao very much worked for the poor, until he became overcome by greed and power.

Mao Zedong is a famous chairman in China and he plays a key role in establishment of the People's Republic of China. He is very kind to Chinese people especially farmers so Chinese people are respectful for him.I don't think that he is a dictator, however, I admire him.
