Just the stray ones. Goes great with fish heads and spam in the morning. Mmm-mmm.
But I want to take this opportunity to dispel the myth that asian sausages come in small packages. Bullsh*t! Mine's 2 inches.... from the ground.
And yeah, I suck at calculus too.

It is true that dogs have found their way to the dinner table of many in Asian countries. A vaccinated animal is not a meal of choice (it ruins the taste). Some Asian countries were occupied by Japan during World War II,during which all animals were proclaimed property of the Japanese emperor.Anyone caught with so much as a chicken in his possession could be executed immediately. The soldiers cared less for the dogs and cats at that time --so you can see how a taste for dog might have crept into the food chain.Dogs over the years have done much to save mankind. The fact that dog is still part of the Asian diet is just that it is not a main course but a delicacy (such as escargot) and is usually consumed at parties and the like events. I'm glad to answer this good question--thanks.

Ok all these answer sound like they are in the same position you are. No Asians do not eat Dogs. Asian is all inclusive to people on a certain continant. Some cultures do eat dog. The Vietnamese, In some areas of vietnam do. I saw a documentry on Dogs and cultures, What role they play in our lives in a societal structure. This included a worldwide view. One part was on the vietnamese. It was an anciant practice in which some people would raise spacific dogs for this purpose. A family had gone to the breeder to pick out a dog for a wedding feast. The chosen dog was fed cooked rice the night before slaughter and then prepared for the wedding. The rice was then consumed by the people at the wedding. It is a custom that i dont believe is very widespread and or brought to this country. There is no need to eat dog here. I suggest you check your local pound and post signs. And please dont listen to your buddies on these urban legends.

Some Asians do. But then so do some Americans...especially when visiting Asia. Some Americans eat other Americans...there are several cases of cannibalism in the U.S. in recent history. Dogs run away, dog's get stolen, dogs disappear. But typically someone who wants to eat a dog would buy one in a store. Try calling the animal shelters in your area or putting up pictures of him and ask if anyone has seen him. Please try to get to know your neighbors and learn more about them and their culture. Most Asians can be very wonderful and interesting people. It is more likely that someone just found him and took him in than ate him.

People who revere cows must think the same thing about Americans. You eat cow? How shocking is that!

A lot of Asian cultures have no qualms about eating the flesh of any animals. Rats, snakes, cats and dogs.

They eat Guinea Pigs in Argentina. (or is it Peru?). North American hunters eat venison... that's Bambi for those unfamiliar. How shocking is that?! Eating Bambi's mom!

It isn't really a racist comment, it's just a failure to understand that not everyone sees Fido as a pet. Just like many of us don't consider that plastic wrapped ground meat at the store was an animal that people in another culture worship.

For the record, I'm Korean. My family hasn't eaten dog (as far as I know) but my family has friends in the old country who eat dog meat. It's normal.

Well they do eat dog stew in Korea, but i think your theory of your neighbors eating them just because they are asian is totally racist. Korea is just about the only asian country that has a big percentage of people eating dogs(about 3 million out of around 43 million) btw im not korean, just smart

In some countries, people eat cat, dog and horse meat. Likewise in some countries and cultures people do not eat beef or pork. It's really a matter of custom and laws. But don't worry the Chinese restaurant around the corner from you is not going to have Chicken Chow Meow on the menu. j0e

Only Asians in rural areas do it (at least, that's how it is in the Philippines). It woud be like some American killing a wild animal and eating it.

I'm Philippina and my friends have an canine-eating-related running joke constantly going on. :)

Hope I was of help.

Overseas, yes, they do eat dog, and just about any other animal. They don't have a big meat market setup like they do here. However, given the choice, they'll not eat dog. So I'd say they don't have anything to do with what happened to yours. At least the odds are in favor of it.

Dog is a type of food eaten in Asian countries such as China, but I highly doubt your neighbors would take your dog just to eat him. That seems rather barbaric. Why not try asking them if they've seen your pet around lately.

Ok, I know some asian people eat dog, but not every asian do! I am asian, and I love dogs very very much. I will NEVER eat them! IF one day, someone forces a piece of dog meat into my mouth, I will kill myself because of the guilt. Please don't generalize!
