I get it on the cake almost perfect then one side just plops off. someone please tell me whay I am doing wrong!

After kneading and rolling, let it rest. Put the fondant on a cookie sheet and cover with a moist paper towel then transfer GENTLY to the cake.

too a lot sugar to fat content cloth. this is probably fixable, yet why? maximum persons hate fondant. confident this is especially, regardless of if this is the stuff that's leftover on the plates after the cake is eaten. once I first "enjoyed" fondant, i theory the frosting had long previous stale.

Is the fondant fresh or is it pre-packaged? If it's pre-packaged, check the experation date. You may want to use a spray bottle of water if it seems too dry, just give it one squirt and re-knead. I hope this helps.
