It's part of the natural order. You are looking for a mate that can provide security and is good breeding stock. You find this with older men who have deep pockets and children.

Perhaps you see them as safer and more mature and reassuring than younger men. Perhaps there is something that you as a child found lacking from your father and do not realise but are looking for this. Perhaps you had a such a great relationship with your father that you think younger men could not match up to older ones. Perhaps you are very mature for your age and find men your own age a little dull or silly. Perhaps you find older men attractive so that you can shock your parents and friends. Perhaps you find them attractive because they make you feel more sophisticated. Who knows? I do know that men are individual creatures, and I know a man of 40 who is like a child and not a pleasant one at that, and young men in their late teens and early 20s who are mature in many ways, including emotionally. Just make sure, that however much older the man in your life is, that he is right for you, treats you right, and not only gives you what you want, but at least emotionally, can give you what you need.

I would have to say that you like mature men. A man that has been through the drama and downfalls of life, and you find that attractive. There is nothing wrong with that, and they don't want to hurt you like that one idiot wrote. You prefer older men, no problem. That is just the way you are. Maybe, and this is really going out on a ledge, your Father was really good to you as a child, so that put an impression on you about older men....anyway, don't give up on older men, we all love you too!

Prehaps you are looking for a father figure and someone to look after you a bit. I have the opposite problem!! I find younger men more attractive!! Not like dead young but up to 10 years or so younger! And the older I get the more problematic it is!!!

But good luck with your older man, enjoy it! It is after all more about how you get on rather than how old you both are. As long as you are happy, you go for who you like!

Well I'm a 37 years old single man. I've found just lately I'm atracting younger girls, say mid twenties. I think its because we can just hold a conversation. We have more to talk about and usually more relaxed in ourselves. The ideal for me is mid-late 20's but with an old head on their shoulders.

Usually its because we are more up front about things and we tend to be a bit more honest. We usually have a decent job and know alot more about what we want from life. We are more stable.
