oh I know I am thirteen and I am moving to, when school starts it will be easier, just walk by someone and eye somethingon them, watch, necklace, clothing, and make sure they see you do that, then go up to them and sya, Oh I love that where did you get it, esspecially when your b-day comes up you can invite them, say well I am having this birthday and it will be at ......... You can come if you want it will be fun, and give her an invitation, besides school is almost here, if you are homeschooled get in activities with your church or do others and do the same. Brooke. you can e-mail me at Fantasy_lover@charter.net if you have any more questions. Brooke and Chloe.

If you play sports or do any extra-curricular activities then you will probably meet friends through those means. However if you are shy or don't do a lot of things (or they just aren't in season), you may want to ask your parent or guardian to go with you before school starts to talk to a guidance counselor (they start school before the kids do). Have a talk about your interests and what you and your old friends did and they may introduce you to a few kids with similar interests who will eat lunch with you or check on you for the first few weeks of school.
Option 2. When you arrive on your new street, have an adult go walking or riding with you or accompany them when they walk the dog. This is another way to meet neighbourhood kids.
Option 3. If it is a more rural area, have an adult take you to the local store and find out what the next big, safe activity that kids your age will be taking part in, where it will be. Even if you don't participate, showing up and looking around will let everyone know that there's a new kid and often a really nice person will come up to you and say hello.

Option 4. If you are in the suburbs, make sure that you go with your parents/guardians if/when they go to introduce themselves to the new neighbours.

So you've done your bit, except for the final piece, don't forget to smile and try to make eye contact, as well as show your personality through your work and dress (even if you wear a uniform or don't have the latest fashion you can be creative without breaking the rules). And don't worry if you "mess up", someone else will trip next week and everyone will forget, so just laugh at yourself and go on to the rest of your day.
Hope that helps.

Easy

-- first you have to be brave and talk to people.

start out with "safe" conversation.

Oh how is the weather?

Then depending on how they respond -- listen for key words and try to think of something else to say based on their response.

Share something interesting about yourself, and pay attention to what the other person says.

Show that you are interested in knowing about them.

When you find something that you both like talking about that creates an opportunity to create a new friend.

Invite them to hang out and give them your instant messenger if they have one!

Talk 2 ppl

Ask them Q's like:
How long you've lived here?
Then what ever they tell you listen and use what they tell u to make more conversation...
;-)

EASY!

Or just mind yout own biz go out side and do something fun or creative, you're bound to meet people by them comming up to you first...
(I'm an artist, I atracted attention with out meaning to just by drawing and they came and talked to me first, what a releif LOL but strange c0z I was minding my own biz LOL)
