This is my favoite way to make rice, it is kind of like "Rice-A-Roni" you know the San Francisco treat.

Roasted Rice

1 c. long grain rice
1 can chicken broth + 1/2 can water
¼ c. onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. celery salt
¼ c. margarine
2 ½ c. boiling water

Spread rice in flat pan and roast at 375° until golden brown. Stir occasionally about 15 minutes, do not allow it to scorch. Put rice into a 1 ½ quart casserole dish and add remaining ingredients and cover. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Rice is a pretty easy dish. It's two parts water to one part rice. It can be flavored with many things, like, use chicken broth in place of the water, don't use a boulion cube because they have a LOT of salt in them. You can also use beef broth.
