What causes staring? i am looking for the medical definition of staring?

Not sure really what causes it but i know its a symptom or form of epileptic seizures. i do it all the time. its not good for the eyes at all. try to stop.

I think I know what you're talking about.Sometimes you see it on TV.Somebody sprays something at the people there.Then I suppose they freeze solid.
