We flea bombed the house. Cats still have live fleas on them and we still have a few in the house. My daughter is sensitive to the bites, has big red welts on the ankles. I've tried anti-itch cream, vinegar (red wine is all I had), benedryl.

Fleas are tricky!
Do you have dogs as well? Do you have cats that go outside? If your cats go outside, they will continue to bring them in if you don't use the right stuff.

Try Frontline. We've tried everything else and nothing compares. My family has five cats and they are all indoor, but we also have a dog that tracks fleas into the house and infests the cats. It's expensive stuff, but if you use it once a month and on every cat, within a few months, the fleas will die. You can also flea bomb if you have carpets, but I have found that you have to stop them from coming in!! Also-- you might find that you won't get relief until winter rolls around and everything dies off (that is, of course, if you live somewhere with cold winters). The change in climate is a huge help when trying to treat an infestation.

I've since moved out with my two cats. We have no carpets and they are indoor. No dog to bring in fleas and we are flea-free without Frontline.

Well, none of the stuff you have used works. Hartz and the Bio-Rid are not very good.
Go to the vet or go online and get Advantage. Put it on the cats every 4 weeks for 4 months and it will cure the entire problem.
You can then start using it every 6 weeks or stop for the winter and then start EARLY next season and begin then every 6 weeks.
Advantage may seem expensive, but you could have bought a lot of it with what you have spant already!!!!!!!

Get rid of your cats. Your child should come first.
