Reading through im finding people refferring to Hezbollah as terrorists, while i dont support any Islamic extremists, Hezbollah are not officially terrorists, they are a political force with ministers in Lebanese government and their control of the Israeli border is enshrined in Lebanese law, they have built hospitals and schools on this land and actually condemn both 9/11 and the Iraqi insurgents, apart from problems with Israel they are realitive Islamic moderates, knowing US media i doubt this is common knowledge

Thank you, however I was aware of that fact. What I fail to understand is if they are truly peaceful in nature then why do they require a military wing? Kidnapping, blowing up the US embassy in Lebanon, suicide bombings, they all stink of terrorists. Lebanon has its own military and as a sovereign nation should be the entity applying force to another sovereign nation not a peace loving organisation. The Red Cross has all of the humanitarian assets you mentioned as well, only they find no need of an armed militia. The only people who are allowed to utilise their humanitarian capabilities are their supporters. Shiite Muslims only, and their support is tracked by the Hezbollah. They know where they live, they know what they do, and who they talk to or interact with. Those benefits you mentioned are used only as a measure of control because without that they would loose their grip of control over the people. They condemn the insurgency in Iraq because the insurgents are Sunni, Al Queida is also Sunni based. Ha-Mas Has all of the things you mentioned as well but they are a Sunni based terror organisation with cabinet members of the Palestinian government with Israel being their common enemy. Shiite and Sunni hate each other as much as they hate Israel and the US. They are the true breeders of hate and terrorism in the world. they hate everybody and tolerate nobody except their own kind.

What have you been smoking? Moderates? You have got to be kidding me. They are the ones who trained Al Queda. They are the largest and most sophisticated terrorist organization in the world--bar none. Iran supports and funds them to the tune of 10-20 million dollars a month. That is how they can arm themselves so well and still build infrastructure that will appeal to the "people." If they can continue to strengthen their hold over the people then they can exert greater influence in the government. Result is Iran ruling Lebanon by proxy.

Do you think moderate peace loving people place 10-12 thousand rockets and missiles on the border with their neighbor and then fire them? Do moderate peace loving people conduct cross border military raids with the intent of murdering and kidnapping soldiers of another country?

Wake up and smell the cordite.

Official according to who? Both the US and Israel officially consider Hezbollah a terrorist organization. Regardless of their 'Official' status, their actions determine whether or not they are terrorists.

"not officially terrorists"

Just because they don't make so list does not mean they are no threat. Would you rather wait until they do? It appears they kidnap and murder, so they must be dealt with.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. One man's altruism is another man's tyranny. PS: "Islamic moderates" is an oxymoron...
