On Wednesday I ordered a large pizza to the house around 4PM. Ate 2 slices (out of 12) and wrapped the rest up individual in seran wrap for future eating.
Around 1AM Thursday going to bed I felt VERY achy, like I was getting the flu. Joints, and all veryachy. Awake until well after 6AM with stomach cramps. Then a high fever started around 10 AM, continued on throughout the day and then severe explosive diarrahea started. Highest fever was 102.8. No vomiting, just severe dirrahea.

I hydrated myself with Gatorate. Drinking LOTS of it! No solid foods until today Saturda when I had two pieces of toast (trying the BRAT diet = Banana, Rice, Applesauce Toast).

Diarrahea turned a green color (pure liquid), current it's brown.

Current: No fever. Still diarrhea, takign Kaopectate PRN and Lomotil PRN and Flagyl 500 mg 2 a day.

Ideas IF this sounds like food poisoning? No other medical history. I was home and not around people to get sick.Wher/how can I get piza analysd?

Also the diarrhea has been severe (going at the most twice an hour at night longer). Hate to say it but Friday I woke to a load of poop in my underware in bed (that's how bad it was). Living alone, I had to start writing the times down each time I went, in case something happened, someone would know. Today (Sat) so so far since 11AM I've gone 4 times with the last at 1:45PM (now it's 3:45PM). Liquid with grainy stuff.
Sorry for being graphic, but I'm trying to give details that may help.

Any ideas how long this will last? Honestly I don't know where it's all coming from!

What I should look out for (if I need to go to the hospital or doctor Monday)?

And anyone know where/how one goes about getting food checked to see if it's ransid/bad?

Again, any help is greatly appreciated. I know technically medicine is not done via the internet, but I have a good medical background, but little in this area other than some basics.

Please don't take this as an offense as I appreciate your help, but I was always under the impression that that food poisoning came with a fever? All the cases I saw had fevers and sometimes bloody diarrahea.

Add: that today Saturday other than the diarrhea I do feel MUCH better. Supper I'm making rice. I was able to shave, bath, wash my hair, etc. (a big accomplishment compared to how I was), so if these "rhea" would stop, I'd be fine.

It very well could be food poisening or a intestinal virus. I would continue with the brat diet. However if the diarahea does no stop in the next few days i would consider seeing your doctor. There are diseases that can cause these symtoms. For now try not to think to much about which can just make things worse, try to relax and try some pedialyte as well. As far as the green color, that can happen when there is a bacteria or virus present in the digestive tract or when you have eaten or drank something that is purple or green in color.

Outback Steakhouse Food Poisoning

I had food poisoning one time a long time ago TIP: Don't ever go to a 24 hour Taco Bell........I think they use the stuff that's been sitting there for hours DUH !
I was on a road trip. I remember not feeling well at first, just nausea, then I started throwing up a LOT. But I don't remember having fever with it.I know that fever is normally indicative of an infection. So, it may have just been coincidental. But, I'm not a doctor, and if fever returns, you should probably see a doctor.
My best advice would be to go to WebMD and look up diarrhea. That will at least tell you what and what not to eat.
Hope you start feeling better!

Getting the pizza analysd will do nothing because it wasn't nesseceraly the pizza. It can be food poisoning but there are also many viruses that compliment this description. Food poisoning usually doesn't cause fever, the sign of fever could mean your body is trying to burn out a virus. The diareah obviously means your body is trying to get rid of whatever is doing that to it. You are doing the right thing to keep yourself hydrated, it's the most important, if it doesn't stop you should see your doctor. Hope this helps.

Diarhea all night and morning then had bad bad pains again achy all over same symptoms as you. I went to the ER and they said I had food poisoning and they gave me IV with some kind of medicine not to make me nauseas but then as they gave me that I threw up everything i had eaten that night it was just sitting in my stomach. but it helped. i was so sore from throwing up that afternoon and next morning but no more achiness and pains. nothing you can do at home i don't think for this.
