Under the new Craig Brewster regime, they were meant to turn the corner and start on the road to...... recovery. all I can say is it is a bloody very long road. He has turned them from a team of experienced no-hopers to a team of inexperienced no-hopers. better get those road maps out you arabs so you can find your way to Stair Park and Palmerston in seasons to come.

Seems like Eddie Thompson's money was badly spent in the past on a bunch of wasters. United's great strength in the past was finding youngsters and bringing them through even if one or two did move on. Nowadays it seems you have to buy instant success and I think the fans should give Craig Brewster a chance. At least he will not put up with the lazy sods and put players on the park who want to win. It may take a season or two but if United can retain their Premier League status I think they will eventually become a force again.

Some poor responses here, barely human I think.
To try to answer you, for the amount of investment by Eddie Thompson, it has been a meagre return for the money.
As manager's jobs go, it seems to end careers.
Teams such as Motherwell and Kilmarnock with much less at their disposal consistenly do better.
United's problems go back many years and I think this season will be a poor one for them.
Why?
Nae idea?

All you nutters down south keep going on and on and on and on about our game being s**t and being a two horse race between Celtic and Rangers. Don't you realise Hearts came 2nd last year and got into the Champions League qualifers instead of Rangers coming 3rd.

I suppose it is a rubbish league considering match crowds have risen instead of yours going down.

Oh... BTW... I wonder which London club are going to buy the league next year... how exciting a one horse race...

Rotten, thought Brewster might have managed to turn it around and he still might but I think Falkirk look a stick on to beat them on Saturday.
