Yes, it's a standard feature, but that doesn't mean they are "female driven" or that you have to put flowers in there.

This does seem to be a "chick" car for sure. I actually have a 2000 Turbo and I think it fits a girl's personality. I wish they would finish and develop the new Bus that is fashioned after the old style micro buses! Now that would make a great guy car. most VW's fit the female persuasion better than the male.

All Beetles from 1999 through today, come standard with a Flower vase. But you can remove it,put something else in it(pencil,cigar,M&M's,ect.).True we sell more Beetle and Beetle Convertible to female's.But many men drive them as well.A Turbo S beetle will out drive and out run most other cars on the road. The Beetle is a fun, fast, great driving machine that was orignally designed by Porsche.Ignorence only labels it a "chick" car. vwjcook@yahoo.com

Standard equipment on the Beetle. You don't have to put flowers in it. I tried putting my dog in it ,but he kept falling out.

I've wondered this as well. I think the vase is standard equipment on VW Beatles.

it was done for nostalgic purposes. for the "hippie flower child" era back in the 60's and 70's. or you can use it to grow buds like they did back then ha ha
