Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minuteman Project, is considering a run for president in 2008 representing the Constitution Party.

Gilchrist has just returned from Florida where he met with the party's national committee.

"I'm just an average Joe citizen," Gilchrist told WND. "What we've proved is that an average Joe citizen can come out of nowhere and not only create the Minuteman Project, but can also run for president. I want to bring common sense and rule of law back into our national dialogue."

Chairman James Clymer told WorldNetDaily the party was excited about the possibility of Gilchrist as its marquis candidate.

He's got my vote if I have to write it in!!!!!!!

I say we all defect to Mexico if Hillary wins.
I'd rather see almost anyone else but that idiot.
Anyone who would stay with a husband like hers just so she can get HER foot in the door of politics deserves every bad thing she gets.
She hasn't earned the right to be our president. She makes me sick as a woman.

I'd vote for him over McCain who I put right up there with Benedict Arnold. However, I'm realist enough to know that means Hillary would win.

If he is running the Constitution Party should have a 'straw' internet vote to count up how many would vote for him in an actual election, or something. Otherwise people will not want to waste their vote and it will only end up splitting an actually unified group on this issue.

Yes I did. Right man, wrong party. The constitution party is whacked but he would run on one issue. He already ran for Congress with them last year and got a solid second or third. You can find the video of him on Larry King on youtube.com.

I'd vote for him before I'd vote for the rest of the morons (Hillary, McCain, Kerry, ANY remaining Bush, ect) out there.
