I have 8 volumes of "The Book of Life" by John Rubin & Co. in 1950. Can anyone tell me anything about them?

THEY HAVE A BLACK COVER, EDITED BY NEWTON HALL AND IRVING WOOD, 18TH PRINTING, 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION.

Dispite the fact that it was the "25th Anniversary Edition", they were first published in 1923 and not in 1925 as you might think. 1925 was the year the 3rd Edition was published.

It was a collection of Christian stories written for an audience of those teaching adult classes.
