NO!!!!!!!! At 14 you should be concentrating on school and having some kind of future. You can't depend on a man or boy for that. Wait a little, if it is true love, he will still be there when you are 16. At least a little older.

Well it depends really, does he LOOK seventeen? How old do you yourself look? If you've matured enough to be able to handle dating someone that old then you should go for it, but be careful because an age gap that large could be dangerous, i suggest you get some info on him from girlfriends or his buddies, if he seems at all creepy get out of that relationship FAST! I know some girls in your situation who ended up in abusive relationships due to the fact that they weren't careful.

The only reason why I say no is because of the legal ramifications: if a 14 year old and a 17 year old have sex then the 17 year old is guilty of statuatory rape. If the 17 year old cares then he/she is willing to wait -- it is just not worth the trouble.

I would suggest waiting for a few years, until your at least 16. In fact in most places in the West the 17 year old will be charged with satutory rape. Don't put them in that position

Not unless the 17 yr old wants to get into trouble,even though he is not 18 he is still accoutable for his actions towards a 14 yr old.Good luck God bless:O)

It depends on what you mean about dating or just hanging out. Hanging out is better because of your age. Tying youself down with one guy is no fun. There's so much more to do.

from experience hell no . my son dated a girl he was 17 she was 15 . dated for 2 yrs then parents decided didn't like him so off to jail he went . he was 19 she was 17. it has ruined him.
