Try these and then you will know why. They are the best.
Lemon Bars
4 c. flour
1 c. powdered sugar
2 c. margarine
Sift flour and sugar together. Cut in margarine until mixture clings together. Press into a 9” x 12” shallow baking pan. Bake at 350° for about 25 minutes. Be sure you don’t over bake it.
8 eggs
4 c. sugar
2/3 c. lemon juice
½ c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Beat eggs, sugar and lemon juice until creamy. Sift flour and baking powder together and stir into egg mixture. Pour over baked crust. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. After baking sprinkle with powdered sugar. A sifter works well for this. Cut into bars.

Molasses cookies. Their flavor is strong, sweet but tangy, and just the tiniest bit bitter. They're definitely "grown up" cookies. This is yet another cookie recipe that I make from my all time favorite cookbook, "The Best Recipe." The molasses cookies are so good that one co-worker grabs them by the handfuls even though he claims to hate molasses cookies. Keep them slightly underbaked so they stay chewy.
