I have a bunch: A Very Long Engagement, Amélie, Mar adentro (the Sea Inside), Cidade de Deus (City of God), María, llena eres de gracia (Maria Full of Grace), Diarios de motocicleta (The Motorcycle Diaries), La lengua de las mariposas (Butterfly), Y tu mamá también, La historia oficial (The Official Story), Ponette...
What are yours?
(also, I posted this question in the movies section too, if you answered it there, go ahead and answer it again! :) )

I'm a Political Science grad student, and I've done a good bit of research in the fields of human rights and political repression, so I've become somewhat acquainted with the Dirty War. Some of the aftermath of which is well portrayed in La historia oficial. Also as a film, it doesn't lose the personal story of the characters for the sake of making a political point, and I like that. And that it was made so soon after just gives it such a punch.
I never said it was a feel-good movie, though. :)

Just a weird observation... when I asked this question in the movies section, María llena eres de gracia didn't come up once. But there are several people here who have mentioned it... strange.
