My puppy has the worst breath, I feed him dry puppy chow and don't give him any "people food" How do I solve his stinky breath? Is there a good treat or mint for hm, something that counters plaque too. He won't let me brush his teeth, he gets upset and squirms away.

This would concern me more than wanting to give him mints. Puppies generally don't have foul breath, that comes later when the teeth start going bad.
This could be an indication of a larger problem or disease. Strange smelling breath is an indication of diabetes or other metabolic dysfunction. Discuss this one with your vet.

Greenies are great for doggy breath, but Purina isn't known as a quality food either. Royal Canine or Nutro make excellent dog kibble, and even tho u may pay a bit more for the food, u'll likely make up for it in vet bills. If the problem continues, puppy may need a visit to the local vet!

There are some special but natural powder you can buy and mix in the dog food.
If it is a puppy you should really try to brush his teeth!! if not now, the dog will never learn. Don't give way, show who is the boss.

mmm lets see here .......your puppy has bad breath and you do not give him people food only dry puppy chow ?
Is the puppy perhaps eating other food you dont know about ?
Do you have a cat ? cat food will make any dogs breath stink.
Does the pup drink from the toilet ?
Mayby it is just you; try mouth wash . smelling your own breath ?
try milk bones dry treats...... if all fails ...see the vet

My dog loves the doggie breath mints they have for sale. I buy the 8-In-1 brand.

Try dental sticks mint is the best flavor ,.Bonios are very good As well ,try the green ones !

they do have breathe fighters at petsmart. i am not sure of the name but i think they are called GREENIES.
