I would try a different class - I would also try working with your dog at home in between classes. Best book ever - "Marley and Me" by John Grogan...

He talks about owning the "worst dog in the world" - it will make yours sound like an angel - but he stuck with his dog.

So did mine, shes a golden retriever and was been pestered by a big boxer dog, after a few weeks she got fed up of the boxer and jumped on him so both us and the person with the boxer were asked to leave which we did, we found an ex police dog handler and he was so much better at obedience classes, some of these so called obedience classes are rubbish, contact the RSPCA or the Police for proper dog trainers, good luck.

If i was you,id try a one to one dog trainer, will cost you more but they will spend time with your dog,not like these obedience classes where they train every dog at the same level
My dog was a absolute nightmare compared to some dogs but now with training and patience, shes a very good girl (sometimes)

Then you need to find a better trainer. I have been teaching obedience for 25 years and never kicked anyone out.

A good trainer should help you find other alternatives even if your dog is not yet ready to be in class. Try another class somewhere else.

That is just daft in the trainers case go back to the same class and stick at it they cant really refuse you.Or if he/she cant train your dog then there not a good trainer and find a better one

some dogs are too reactive for group classes... see about private lessons...might be a bit expensive though... ask around... call the local animal shelter for a referal.
