Pineapple juice has a little more acid than some of the other juices but not as much a orange juice and I bet you are already giving him/her that. The one thing to watch is a child can be allergic to almost anything so give your little one just a few ounces the first day and see how he/she handles it. I always liked to wait at least 24 hours after adding any new food or beverage to make sure they weren't going to have any kind of adverse reaction. Good Luck

Yes it's okay. They sell juice for his/she age anyways, so I don't think that would make a difference. Gerber sells a variety of juice. I give my 7 month old grand-daughter Kool-aid, but water down. she doesn't really like it ,so we stick to the juice that wic provides. It's really up to the kids at this age. We have try different liquids to see what suits the child. Just make sure it's
suitable for children. Your on the right track. And at this age you don't want to put it in a bottle, you want to put it in a sipper cup.
Reason for this: HE/SHE should be getting off the bottle.

From what I know, Pineapple juice is very acidic and can aid digestion because of its high enzyme activity. Watering it down 50/50 with water is a very good idea if you choose to give them the pineapple juice. Cheers

Yes you can give your child pine apple juice, it doesn't need to be watered down. What nationallity is your child? I ask because you would more than likely want your child to sign in his natural language. You can try :
http://www.handspeak.com/ Is your child deaf? Or are you just interested in your child learning sign language?

I wouldn't give pineapple juice to a 14 month old. It's high in acid, very high in natural sugars, and has been known to cause blood sugar to spike, then drop too low. Some kids get diarrhea from it.

Yes, unless there is a family history of an allergy to pineapple. Whenever you or the father have or had a food allergy it is best to wait until they are 4 or 5 to give them those specific foods.
The only food that you shouldn't feed before 2 that I am aware of is peanuts.

Personally, because of the acid content I don't let my daughter of 14mths have any at all. I do not give her orange juice either because of how acidy.
If you do give it to her watered then make sure you don't let her have too much so you will be able to tell if it is going to give her a tummy ache or a really bad diaper rash.

I don't see why not, unless there is some allergy you need to be concerned about. My sons are 17 months and they drink all types of juice: apple, cranberry, pineapple. I never water it down.

When my baby bro was born, my mom bought gerber pine apple juice. They should sell baby kind. I think you should ask the pediatrician before doing it, maybe the baby kind has less sugar or artificial flavors.
